THEME for 2011-2012: "Inside Out for Christ!"

    LAST WORDS #1: Forgive Them

    LUKE 23:32-38

Last words are often significant. The gospel writers have recorded some of Jesus' last words. What do they tell us about the man, and about us, if we choose to follow his ways? The first words he speaks from the cross challenge those who have ever been hurt by another to confront several questions - Why forgive? Must the other admit or do something first, or prove they are sorry? What does sin have to do with it? Join us Sunday as we gather at the cross.

    "INDISPENSABLE RELATIONSHIPS" Mini-series

STARTING THIS SUNDAY! NEW - for YOUNGER ADULTS, SINGLES, and COUPLES

Who is Your Jonathan, your Barnabas, your Deborah, your Nathan, your Timothy, your Jethro...? Every one of us likely has a select gathering of friends who help keep us out of trouble and living well. This NEW Sunday morning study is intended for younger adults, interested in peering into the lives of various biblical personalities who, in the course of rubbing shoulders with others, have changed their lives. As we study them, they may change ours.

Join Pastor Craig Sunday mornings in the lower hall at MBC, beginning FEBRUARY 26th at 9:15am, for a look at these Indispensable Relationships, and what they can teach us about living well beyond our own best efforts. If the one thing you gain from this class is the deepening or expanding of your relationship with others, then this six-week series will be INDISPENSABLE.

*Infant and toddler care can be arranged by speaking in advance with either Craig or Deborah.

"A book is a hand stretched forth in the dark passage of life
to see if there is another hand to meet it."

    LAST WORDS #2: Paradise

    LUKE 23:32-43

Last words are often significant. The gospel writers have recorded Jesus' last words for us to consider. What do they tell those of us who choose to follow his ways? Jesus' response to one of the men crucified with him invites us to consider the meaning of "paradise". Is our image at all similar to Jesus'? Join us Sunday as we gather at the cross.

  • Sunday, March 11th

    LAST WORDS #3: "Behold..." Family

    JOHN 19:23-27

    LAST WORDS #4: Forsaken

    MATTHEW 27:45-49

Last words are often significant. The gospel writers have recorded for us some of Jesus' last words. What do they tell us about the man, and about us, if we choose to follow him? Jesus' anguished cry, "My God, why have you forsaken me?" is among the most soul wrenching statements in all of scripture. How do we relate to these words, and the fact that we find them on the tongue of Jesus as he hangs on the cross? Join us Sunday as we find out together.

  • Sunday, March 25th

    LAST WORDS #5: I Thirst

    JOHN 19:28-29

Last words are significant. When we take a look at Jesus' last words, what do they tell us about the man, or us, who choose to follow his ways? Jesus showed how human he was, when he spoke from the cross saying "I thirst". What significance do these same words hold for our lives? Join us this Sunday as we gather around the cross of Christ.

    LAST WORDS #6: Finished

    JOHN 19:30

Last words are significant. Some of Jesus' last words are recorded in the gospels. What do they tell us about Jesus and about those who choose to follow him?
